When I was teaching down at Archerfield Walled Garden a few weeks ago, we were contacted by the lovely owners of the Williamstone Farm Steadings in North Berwick. Having never been to North Berwick rather than passing through, it seemed like a great plan for the teaching weekend to spend the night.
We were warmly greeted after an absolutely idyllic drive to the property, stopping quite a few times to look out over the fields and the coast. Fresh bread, local butter, and some coffee and jam from the local makers were set in the gorgeous modern kitchen where we cooked up a really great dinner.
Helen and I really had to choose which room to stay in as we were spoiled for choice. If the other accommodations are as luxurious as the Barn that we stayed in, We would love to return just to try them out!
Above this really snug dining room, there was an elevated cosy room for watching tv and gaming. We ended up lighting the fire and simply enjoying the quiet.
We will be returning here with friends as the barn could easily accommodate 3 couples and the town had so many walking routes, historical guides, and restaurants to keep us entertained.
